Pyramid Event Venue117 S Main StLake Mills, WI53551 Map

Dan grew up in a small rural area in between Sauk City and Plain, WI. It was here where his parents would have get-togethers and Dan would entertain the crowds singing and playing traditional country music. He played songs from artists like Steve Earle, David Allan Coe, and Johnny Cash. Finally, Dan decided to pursue his dream of playing music full-time. He learned more songs until he had a few hours of cover song material from classic country legends and he began playing bars several nights per week. His first show was August 9th, 2018 at a bar called Kuhtz's General Store in Stone Bank, WI. It wasn't long before Dan would quit working his day job as well as begin writing and releasing original music. In November of 2019 he put out his debut EP. In summer of 2020 he put out a single entitled, "Outlaw Songs." In fall of 2020 Dan began recording and writing music on music row in Nashville and he plans to put out several singles as well as a follow up EP in 2021.... See MoreSee Less

Chaos in the Kitchen

Chaos in the Kitchen

Thursday October 14th - 6:00pm - Thursday October 14th - 9:00pm

Pyramid Event Venue

From the remains of the Blues band, This Band Has No Name, Tim Seery, the Bands drummer formed the Jass group, Chaos in the Kitchen in 2015. Joining the new group was Saxophone/Clarinet Gary Lensmeyer and Trumpet Lorene Armstrong. Wayne Seiter, Guitar and Pat Thorson, Trumpet, came in next with Bassist Andrew Brienen soon after. The band started live performance in 2017 and other than the Covid Era, has performed at various venues once a month.
This Band is a passion project for the musicians. Though all are experienced musicians, none of them had extensive experience in Jazz so the first couple years were spent learning and rehearsing the music that we have all come to love. The Band makes no claims of being a definitive Jazz ensemble but attempts to give a solid interpretation of this great American Art form. Audiences have responded well to the performances. Playing music from Miles Davis and Charlie Parker to Benny Goodman and interpretations of music from the Great American Songbook, the Bands interest in all things Jazz continues to grow.

The Best Westerns

The Best Westerns

Friday October 15th - 7:00pm - Friday October 15th - 11:00pm

Pyramid Event Venue

The Best Westerns meld instrumental virtuosity and the powerful charm of classic songs old and new, from way out West to Tin Pan Alley. Some call it swing, some call it jazz, some might think it’s rockabilly, and some even call it western music. And that’s how you know it’s Western Swing.

The six-piece ensemble features fiddle, piano, guitar, steel guitar, acoustic bass, and drums.

The repertoire ranges from Bob Wills to Benny Goodman, with stops along the way for Slim Gaillard, Speedy West, Count Basie, and Carl Smith . . . or Carl Perkins . . . or Ray Price. Incorporating other influences too numerous to name, the band’s creative synergy leads to a growing core of original compositions.

Most of all, it’s dance music. The band runs on rhythm. “Once people are dancing we’re in business,” says bassist and bandleader Mark Hembree.

Along with club gigs from La Crosse to Milwaukee, The Best Westerns count among their most memorable concerts a big show opening for Asleep at the Wheel at Potawatomi Casino, “Midnight Under the Stars” concert series in Fond du Lac, and the Bay View “Chill on the Hill” event.
